How to Stop Paying for Abortion Travel

Do you want your tax dollars to pay for abortion expenses?

I didn’t think so. That’s why I need your help before Wednesday.

Lawmakers will hear the Stop Tax-Funded Abortion Travel Act (SB 33) in a committee meeting.

This is our best chance to block city councils from spending your tax dollars to send pregnant women out-of-state for abortions, paying for flights, hotels, meals, and rideshares.

Join us at the Capitol, or click here to ask officials to pass the Stop Tax-Funded Abortion Travel Act. (Instructions below).

This is urgent. Liberal Texas cities have boldly declared their opposition, including San Antonio, which dedicated $100,000 in taxpayer funds to abortion travel just last month.

We can’t let this continue.

Here’s how you can help—right now:

✅ 1. Join us at the Capitol
Your presence speaks volumes to lawmakers. Planned Parenthood and other anti-Life advocates will show up to stop this life-saving measure. You can combat them by encouraging lawmakers to pass our bill!

“I kindly urge you to prioritize and pass the Stop Tax-Funded Abortion Travel Act (Senate Bill 33 by Sen. Campbell). Right now, there are still over 30,000 preborn Texans killed each year due to abortion pills entering Texas and out-of-state abortion travel. To make things worse, the cities of Austin and San Antonio have already allotted $500,000 to pay for abortions on Texas babies in liberal states like Colorado and New Mexico. Texans should not be forced to subsidize the destruction of innocent lives. SB 33 is critical to stop local governments from misusing public funds to facilitate abortions outside our borders. This will help protect Texas mothers and their preborn children from the devastating reach of the abortion industry. Please protect Life by advancing SB 33 without delay. Thank you.”

Cities like San Antonio are declaring their support for abortion travel. Will you stand against them?

Don’t just take my word for it. Here’s what council members said in a public meeting:

“Honestly, we aren’t owed an explanation as to why someone may choose to have or not have a baby, to build a humanIf someone doesn’t want to carry a fetus they should not have to.” – Councilman Jalen McKee-Rodriguez

“Public funds should be used to promote health, period. That includes providing women with the means to get (the) care of their choice, even if it’s in another state.” – Councilwoman Melissa Cabello Havrda

“What I wouldn’t like to see qualified [for taxpayer funds]are pregnancy crisis centers…” – Councilwoman Teri Castillo

San Antonio is not alone; Austin already sent about half a million dollars to anti-Life organizations.

Jane’s Due Process, a group dedicated to trafficking teens to other states for abortions, was one of the recipients.

If we lose this fight, it could lead to more cities funding illegal and out-of-state abortions.

Together, we can protect Texas moms and babies.
