House Democrats Pass Radical Abortion Bill Rebuking Texas Heartbeat Act

Congressional Democrats passed a bill Friday to overturn all Pro-Life laws in the nation and prevent states like Texas from protecting preborn children. H.R. 3755, the so-called “Women’s Health Protection Act,” would kill thousands of unborn baby girls and harm countless pregnant women. The House passed the bill by a vote of 218 to 211 and the policy now heads to the U.S. Senate.

H.R. 3755 would undo all state protections for preborn children in America, including long-standing laws like bans on gruesome late-term abortions and new laws like the Texas Heartbeat Act, which has saved over 2,000 lives since September 1.

Texas Right to Life Senior Legislative Associate Rebecca Parma responded:

“Nancy Pelosi passed the most extreme abortion bill in U.S. history, allowing abortion everywhere up to the moment of birth. Time and again, the Supreme Court affirmed states’ right to protect unborn children. House Democrats’ move is out of touch with judicial precedent, and more importantly, out of touch with everyday Americans who oppose unlimited abortion.”
