? URGENT: Late-Term Abortion Ban, Heartbeat Act, and Abolition Strategy to be Heard in Texas Senate Committee

Your Pro-Life story could help make history as Texas seeks to overturn Roe v. Wade through Pro-Life laws. Three critical Pro-Life bills will be heard in committee in the Texas Senate this Monday, March 15, 2021, and elected officials are often motivated by citizens like YOU. Come to the Capitol in Austin and show the Legislature that Texans are Pro-Life!

The Texas Abolition Strategy, SB 1647 by Senator Charles Perry; the Preborn NonDiscrimination Act (PreNDA), SB 1173 by Senator Kelly Hancock; and the Texas Heartbeat Act, SB 8 by Senator Bryan Hughes will all be heard in the Senate Committee on State Affairs starting at 9:00 a.m. this Monday, March 15

  • The Texas Abolition Strategy combines three major policies into one Pro-Life omnibus bill to end elective abortion in Texas, including PreNDA and the Texas Heartbeat Act.
  • PreNDA would close the loophole in current Texas law through which preborn babies with disabilities can still be aborted past 20 weeks all the way until the moment of birth; prohibit discriminatory abortions at any stage of pregnancy motivated by the sex, race, or suspected disability of the preborn child; and provide perinatal palliative care services to families facing a life-limiting diagnosis for their child.
  • The Texas Heartbeat Act would prohibit abortions after the preborn child’s heartbeat is detectable, as well as enact several other meaningful Pro-Life reforms and legal tools. This is a carefully crafted Heartbeat Bill that will lead the nation in implementing this life-saving legislation in a way that other states have failed to do so far.

Many Texas legislators have been passive for years, causing our state to fall to the 20th most Pro-Life state, down from 4th in 2008. Texans are hungry for Pro-Life victories, evidenced by the 22 Texas cities that are now Sanctuary Cities for the Unborn.

Only with your dedication to the Pro-Life cause will we secure victories for preborn children this legislative session. This Monday, you can stand for Life at the Texas Capitol by registering and testifying for the Texas Abolition Strategy, PreNDA, and the Texas Heartbeat Act!
