President Trump is taking huge steps to help foster kids who are aging out of the system.
Donald Trump and First Lady Melania signed an executive order called “Fostering the Future” that helps teens in foster care as they become adults by giving them better access to education, job training, career opportunities, technology, and other support they need to succeed.
It also starts Melania Trump’s “Fostering the Future” initiative, which will provide educational opportunities and scholarships for kids in foster care through her Be Best campaign.
“This executive order… gives me tremendous pride. It is both empathetic and strategic… I predict this small spark today will ignite a profound and lasting nationwide movement,” Trump said.
“The Bible tells us that one of the measures of any society is how it cares for vulnerable children and orphans,” he added. “So important – and it’s so big in the Bible. So as we make America great again, we are going to protect American children and foster care.”
“And we’re going to ensure that they will never, ever be forgotten. These children will never be forgotten, and they’re going to grow up to be unbelievable, strong, smart, wealthy, productive citizens.”
The White House said the order tackles the struggles of the roughly 20,000 teens who age out of foster care each year—many of whom face serious challenges, and nearly half end up homeless.

Trump has supported efforts to strengthen families for years, and this order continues that work by giving more help directly to these young people.
This is a great win for the Pro-Life movement on a national level. Critics often try to dismiss Pro-Lifers as only “pro-birth,” but that’s simply not true. Yes, we celebrate every child’s birth — but our mission goes far beyond that. We believe every human life deserves protection and support from the womb all the way to the end of Life. That includes standing with children in the foster care system and making sure they have the care and opportunities they need to thrive.
We applaud President Trump and First Lady Melania for taking action that strengthens an important part of the Pro-Life mission. But there is still more to be done. Trump has the power to take one crucial step that could save millions of preborn children: enforcing the Comstock Act. Simply enforcing this existing law would stop abortion pills from being shipped across the country.
Being Pro-Life means caring for every person made in the image of God — both the preborn and the children outside the womb who need protection, guidance, and support.
If you want to make a real, tangible impact for preborn babies, sign our petition urging President Trump to stop the mailing of abortion pills nationwide.
