Texas Babies at Risk: Two Bills to Stop Abortions

We confront a stark reality: Abortions are happening in plain sight.

Tragically, an estimated 30,000 Texan babies are killed each year by out-of-state abortions and lethal abortion drugs coming into Texas. Pregnant women and preborn babies depend on you and your lawmakers to pass two new bills to stop lethal abortion drugs and end taxpayer-funded abortion travel.

1) Save Moms and Babies from Lethal Drugs

  • Texans requested 19,000 abortion pills online in one year.
  • Tracing the origins and destinations of the increasing number of abortion pills is challenging.
  • Solution: Woman and Child Protection Act

Texas made history in 2021 by creating the first heartbeat bill ever to take effect in the nation. Our law was unique – it allowed normal citizens to sue abortionists if they killed preborn babies with a heartbeat. Now, we need to use that same tool to protect all preborn children from activists who are sending abortion pills to Texas from other states, selling them online, advertising them on billboards, and more.

2) Stop Tax-Funded Abortion

  • Austin City Council dedicated taxpayer money to cover flights, hotels, and other costs for out-of-state abortions. San Antonio City Council has tried to do the same over and over.
  • The Health & Human Services Commission reported that around 15,000 women traveled out of state for abortions in 2023.
  • Solution: Prevent cities from using taxpayer dollars to fund abortion expenses.

This bill would block local governments from funding abortion groups.

⭐ SB 730 by Senator Donna Campbell & HB 1806 by Representative Candy Noble

We are praying that lawmakers will pass these crucial policies to protect pregnant women and preborn babies.
