In an ongoing investigation and court case, a central Texas woman has accused a school superintendent of assaulting her for refusing to get an abortion.
Round Rock Independent School District Superintendent Hafedh Azaiez has been accused of assault and of pressuring his former mistress to get an abortion.
In the ongoing court case, Azaiez’s former girlfriend has accused him of demanding she get an abortion after she informed him she was pregnant with his child.
The court document containing Azaiez’s former girlfriend’s allegations reads that “(h)e asked me to have an abortion so that he would not lose his career and family. I was very upset at this, and I said no to an abortion and told him that I had made up my mind to have the child.”
When she refused, Azaiez’s ex-girlfriend alleges that he began to harass and intimidate her.
The court documents contain a text message exchange between Azaiez and his former girlfriend in which she firmly states, “No I will not get an abortion I will pay the consequences as you threatened me. This baby has a heartbeat. I will not kill it.“
Azaiez responded with a threat, “For the last time I am telling you please get an abortion you don’t know what you are getting yourself into, I will make you pay this you will not make me lose everything … Don’t make me go after you and make you pay the consequences for you and this baby.”
According to the woman, Azaiez’s threats continued until one day he entered her house and physically abused her.
“He became so angry he grabbed my arms with force, shaking me and shoving me until he threw me to the floor,” the woman testified in writing.
The woman claims that she maintained several injuries from the assault that have placed her in danger of miscarriage. “(I) have been advised by my physician that I am threatened to miscarry the pregnancy. I do not want to lose my baby,” the woman stated.
Azaiez is currently on paid administrative leave while the investigation is ongoing.
Countless abusers use abortion to silence victims and cover up crimes.
Please join us in praying for this woman and for justice in the case.
