Did you know that every day vulnerable hospital patients in our state are threatened by imposed death? Patients like American hero Chris Dunn have died under an anti-Life law that has no place in Texas. Unless our elected officials take action in the next legislative session, countless patients will continue to face imposed death in Texas hospitals.
The Texas Advance Directives Act (TADA- Chapter 166.046, Health and Safety Code) allows hospitals to act against the expressed wishes of the patients and their families. The hospital’s own internal committee can decide to withdraw life-sustaining treatment for any reason —ending the life of the patient— with only ten days’ notice. Contact your legislators and tell them that Texans will not stand for this injustice any longer. TADA must be repealed. Chris Dunn and the countless other patients who suffer under this draconian law deserve the Right to Life and the right to make their own medical decisions.

This is not acceptable on any level. This opens the doors for so much abuse. I would like to make my opinion known to our legislators on behave of all seriously ill people .
Texas is pulling Medicaid funding from abortion clinics but killing other Americans as they lay sick in hospital beds. No one has the right to decide someone else should die in a hospital any more than than in an abortion clinic.
