When questioned by the press, Democratic house speaker Nancy Pelosi refused to condemn the widespread attacks and violent threats by abortion activists against Pro-Life groups. Since news broke of a leaked draft indicating the Supreme Court’s reversal of Roe v. Wade there have been a continuous stream of attacks, vandalism, and calls to “unleash rage” on pregnancy resource centers and Pro-Life organizations and churches.
Pregnancy resource centers across the nation, that offer free care and resources to pregnant women and parents, have been viciously attacked and even firebombed, like this one in New York.
Pelosi refused to speak to the violent actions and rhetoric sweeping across the nation and instead attempted to distract from the topic. “This talk of politicizing (abortion), I think, is something uniquely American and not right,” Pelosi claimed.
Pelosi, an outspoken abortion advocate and self-proclaimed Catholic, made headlines recently after San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone issued a pastoral letter condemning her abortion activism and banning her from receiving communion in her home city.
“Let me just say this, a woman has a right to choose,” Pelosi said, refusing to acknowledge the widespread abortion violence.
Pelosi even went so far as to try to use her Catholic faith to justify her stance on abortion, despite clear Catholic teaching condemning abortion as the killing of an innocent child. “Other countries, Ireland, Italy, Mexico,” Pelosi stated, “have had initiatives to expand a woman’s right to choose, very Catholic countries, and I’m a very Catholic person, and I believe in every woman’s right to make her own decisions.”
The idea that Pelosi, whose own bishop has had to deny her communion for her role in fighting against Catholic beliefs and morals, is “a very Catholic person” is absurd on its face. Pelosi’s claim is nothing more than a weak attempt to distract from the abortion mob.
The very same abortion mob that Nancy Pelosi refuses to condemn is currently running rampant, specifically targeting, vandalizing, and disrupting Catholic churches. But according to Pelosi none of that matters because politicizing abortion is “uniquely American and not right,” and because she “is a very Catholic person.”
The Supreme Court decision is expected to come out within weeks or even days. After abortion groups doxed the conservative Supreme Court justices’ private information there have been unruly protests at their homes and an armed man has been arrested for the attempted murder of Justice Kavanaugh.
Please keep the Supreme Court justices and Pro-Lifers across the country in your prayers. Pray that all may remain strong and courageous in their defense of the innocent and vulnerable.
