UPDATE: Edinburg City Council failed to make a motion, thereby killing the Sanctuary City for the Unborn ordinance. Disappointing outcome tonight but the citizens of Edinburg refuse to pass up this opportunity to protect vulnerable unborn babies.
Have you heard?! Edinburg City Council will consider the Sanctuary City for the Unborn ordinance TONIGHT!
The Sanctuary City for the Unborn ordinance is a local policy that would:
- Declare abortion to be murder;
- Prohibit Planned Parenthood from opening in the community; and
- Save unborn children from the atrocity of abortion.
Pro-Life advocates showed up in droves, but a pro-abortion mob is SCREAMING and shouting to hijack the meeting!
Don’t let the city council back down! We must stand up!

Dear Edinburg City Council,
I ask you to support vulnerable Texans by passing the Sanctuary City for the Unborn ordinance.
Government officials at every level have the primary responsibility of protecting Life.
I would like to see Edinburg become the first Sanctuary City for the Unborn in South Texas and become part of a growing grassroots movement to outlaw abortion locally.
Now is the time for Americans everywhere to protect preborn children in their communities.
