Katy Perry, the Kardashians, Bette Midler, and other Hollywood stars declared on social media that the “Fourth of July” was “canceled” due to a “shortage of independence” after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.
Kim and Kourtney Kardashian and their mother, Kris Jenner, shared on their Instagram Stories on Independence Day, “4th of July has been canceled due to a shortage of independence. Sincerely, Women.”
Bette Midler, a regularly outspoken leftist, shared the same image with her two million followers.
Actress Jessica Chastain flipped the bird in a selfie she posted on Twitter, saying “Happy ‘Independence’ Day from me and my reproductive rights.”
Katy Perry, a 37-year-old singer, dramatically mourned that “women in the US have fewer rights than an actual sparkler.” Perry has over 100 million followers.
Padma Lakshmi, host of “Top Chef,” baked and decorated a cake with “Separate Church and State” written on it and captioned the photo, “Not much to celebrate this 4th, I’m afraid.”
Lizzo on the 4th of July pledged to donate 100% of her shapewear company Yitty’s net proceeds over the weekend to a pro-abortion group.
This adds to the growing list of Hollywood elitists who believe their woke values represent that of everyday Americans. The historic reversal of Roe has enraged the anti-Life mob. Across the country, celebrities and people in power have made a point of loudly voicing their support for the killing of the preborn. Courageous Pro-Lifers who defend preborn children face tremendous pushback.
The abortion industry has a suffocating grasp on the mainstream media and popular culture, but, there are many Pro-Lifers who support measures that save lives. The reason for our victory has been focusing on the grassroots where the abortion industry does not hold sway.
