Carly Fiorina to speak on Pro-Life ideals at Southern Methodist University

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Carly Fiorina to speak on Pro-Life ideals at Southern Methodist University

Dallas, Texas—March 28, 2017: Former Hewlett-Packard CEO and 2016 Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina will speak at Southern Methodist University Wednesday, March 29, to affirm that the Pro-Life movement is pro-woman in a speech titled “Pro-Life AND Presidential.”  Fiorina’s presentation, taking place at the James M. Collins Center at SMU (3150 Binkley Avenue, Suite 303) at 7 p.m., is co-hosted by Mustangs for Life, SMU Young Americans for Freedom, and SMU College Republicans.  Bookending Fiorina’s speech, the Mustangs for Life will host their annual Cemetery of the Innocents display on campus, a visual representation of the individual lives lost to abortion every day in the United States, which is regularly the target of controversy and, on occasion, vandalism.  The group’s leaders, several of whom are Texas Right to Life’s Dr. Joseph Graham Fellows, hope that Fiorina’s presence on campus and message of empowerment through motherhood and entrepreneurship will dispel the common myth that abortion on-demand encourages women (a common talking point spouted by the university’s anti-Life students and faculty).

The event is free and open to the public.  Fiorina will field questions during a Q&A session following her speech.  Additional information and updates may be found on the event’s Facebook page.
