Texas House District 107, which includes parts of northeast Dallas, Garland, Mesquite, and the surrounding area, is currently represented by pro-abortion Democrat Victoria Neave. You might remember her as the State Representative who was arrested last summer for a DWI. Beyond recklessly endangering her fellow Texas drivers, Neave also is a danger to preborn babies and vulnerable patients in Texas hospitals, earning a 0% on Texas Right to Life’s legislative scorecard. Her failing score is because of her efforts to obstruct, weaken, and kill life-saving legislation like Senate Bill 8, which included a ban on the barbaric practice of dismemberment abortion, in which a preborn baby is torn limb from limb while his or her heart is still beating.
The voters of HD 107 clearly deserve better, and they have that better option in Pro-Life Republican candidate Deanna Maria Metzger.
Metzger had two establishment Republican challengers in the March Primary Election, and she ably advanced to and won the Runoff Election in May. Raised in Mesquite, Deanna Maria Metzger would be the first Representative from HD 107 to have gone through the district’s public school system.
Metzger is an attorney, working with a Fortune 100 company. She is a businesswoman, experienced at creating jobs in the community through her two businesses. Her career has equipped her to hit the ground running in the State Legislature, taking her expertise to Austin and paving the way for the creation of additional opportunities for all Texans.
Neave won by less than 2% in 2016, and Republican Kenneth Sheets won the seat by 10% in 2014. Even though Neave is the Democrat now holding this office, the district is in fact a swing district. Neave’s shameful voting record and demonstrated misjudgment highlights the need for a change in HD 107, which Deanna Maria Metzger will provide. But her victory in the November General Election will not be possible without motivated support from Pro-Life voters in her district.
Deanna Maria Metzger will be an unwavering advocate for Life in the Capitol. For Pro-Life voters in HD 107, the choice is clear: Pro-Life Deanna Maria Metzger, or abortion-promoter Victoria Neave.
