Delegates are grassroots activists who participate in shaping the role, direction, and platform of the Republican Party of Texas. Delegates volunteer to represent their community at their precinct, county or Senate district, or state conventions. The state convention will take place in Houston June 16-18, 2022.
Why be a Pro-Life delegate?
Texas Republicans define their principles and beliefs through the party platform. As a local grassroots activist, you can introduce and vote on Pro-Life resolutions to be added to the party platform when you become a convention delegate. Delegates are sent to the state convention by their local county or Senate district Republican conventions.
Who is eligible to attend a local or state Republican convention?
Anyone who is a registered voter and has voted in the Republican primary or is willing to take an oath of affiliation can attend their local conventions (precinct and Senate district convention) and be a delegate to the state convention.
When?
The first conventions are at your local precinct after the polls close for the Republican Primary Election (March 1, 2022). Exact dates and details depend on your local Republican Party. Once you sign up for more information, we will send you specific details about the time and location of your precinct convention.
