After winning the Nevada Caucus on Saturday, Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders tweeted, “Don’t tell @realDonaldTrump this because he’ll get very nervous—we’re going to beat him in Texas.”
Over the last few weeks, Sanders has campaigned heavily in Texas, including hosting rallies in Austin, El Paso, Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio, while other Democratic presidential contenders focused on California ahead of Super Tuesday.

While Sanders leads the Democratic field in the polls, he still trails President Trump in Texas by four points.
“Bernie Sanders’ socialist agenda will not resonate with Texas voters,” Trump campaign spokeswoman Samantha Cotten responded.
Indeed, Texas voters prioritize Pro-Life issues at the ballot box. A pro-abortion Democrat has not won a statewide election in decades. And Trump’s incredible Pro-Life record stands in stark contrast to Bernie’s, which includes 106 pro-abortion votes.
Texans’ chance to vote Pro-Life continues this week in early voting, and Election Day is next Tuesday, March 3.
