The Trump administration officially froze $120 million in taxpayer funds to Planned Parenthood and their affiliates.
Each year, Planned Parenthood receives $27.5 million in family planning grants from the Department of Health and Human Services. However, President Trump recently signed an executive order eliminating diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives within government funding, to which Planned Parenthood refused to comply. Because of this, these grants are being frozen until further notice.
The redirection of these tens of millions of dollars away from the abortion industry is a strong first step toward fully defunding Planned Parenthood.

As Pro-Life Christians, we commend the Trump administration for this bold step, but we urge them to go further. Planned Parenthood should not only lose taxpayer funding because of their DEI initiatives but also because they are responsible for over 350,000 abortions each year. The moral and ethical case against Planned Parenthood goes far beyond policy disagreements—it is about defending the dignity of every preborn baby.
Planned Parenthood receives about $700 million in federal funding each year. It’s time for the government to stop using taxpayer dollars to fund the destruction and harm of its own citizens.
In opposition to Trump’s executive order, the abortion industry claims to stand for “diversity,” “equity,” and “inclusion.” However, their entire existence is built on ending unborn lives, promoting eugenics, and targeting vulnerable communities. Their clinics are disproportionately located in low-income neighborhoods, and their practices unequally affect minorities. The very values they claim to uphold are contradicted by their mission.
The Pro-Life movement will continue to call for an end to taxpayer funding of abortion. This is a moment to celebrate—but it’s also a moment to push forward. Let’s make defunding Planned Parenthood permanent and ensure that every child has the Right to Life.
