Please pray for Baby Wren.
Wren is a sweet one-month-old girl in a North Texas hospital after having complications during birth.
But now, her family faces a heartbreaking threat.
The hospital informed her family that a committee will decide whether to remove her ventilator against her parents’ wishes. If the committee sides with the hospital, Baby Wren will only have 25 days left to live.
(This is legal under the horrible Texas 25-Day Rule.)
Baby Wren’s family contacted Texas Right to Life for help.
Wren is on an oscillator (a ventilator designed for infants) and her treatment is working.
If the hospital cannot or will not continue providing the care Baby Wren needs, they shouldn’t cut her life short. Instead, they should honor her parents’ wishes and send her to a different place willing to care for her.
To transfer her to another facility, Wren needs a tracheostomy and feeding tube. However, the hospital says they are unable to perform these necessary procedures.
🙏 Please pray with us for:
- Healing for Baby Wren;
- The hospital to provide the tracheostomy and feeding tube necessary for transfer;
- Another medical facility to accept Baby Wren; and
- Peace and discernment for Wren’s family as they advocate for her.
As we enter the Easter season, we are reminded that all Life is a gift from God, treasured and valued by Him.
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8
