Dr. Blake Weidaw from the Vitae Clinic in Austin spoke to the Texas Students for Life at UT about various family planning methods.  From the pill to IUDs and Natural ProCreative Technology, the students learned about what each form of birth control does and the affect in a woman’s body.  Dr. Blake also discussed types of birth control as potential abortifacients.  The students learned that natural family planning methods (Creighton, Billings, etc.) could not only be used to prevent pregnancy, but also to help a woman achieve pregnancy and track her cycle.  The presentation showcased the different birth control options from a holistic perspective.  Dr. Joseph Graham Fellow Cassie Guardiola said, “[this talk]empowered me with the information needed to decide what approach to take regarding my own fertility.”
