Pregnancy centers affected by Hurricane Harvey

Hurricane Harvey devastated much of Texas’ Gulf Coast, including pregnancy resource centers, during the last week.  These organizations continue to serve mothers and children in need, especially flood victims, while attempting to recover their own centers and communities.

These pregnancy centers have ongoing donation and volunteer campaigns to help hurricane victims.  Please donate to or volunteer with one of these life-affirming organizations.

  • Angleton, Beaumont, and Houston – Arrow Child & Family Ministries http://www.arrow.org/harvey
    • Arrow is helping foster families rebuild and recover after Hurricane Harvey.  Supporters can donate financially or give supplies, including food, formula, clothing, diapers, cribs and beds, school supplies, medications, and the necessities of everyday life.
  • Bacliff – Lighthouse Christian Ministries http://www.lighthousecm.org/
    • Lighthouse Christian Ministries encourages Pro-Lifers to volunteer or donate the following items: dish soap, laundry detergent, toiletries (shampoo, deodorant, soap, toothpaste), and boxed meals (Hamburger Helper, etc.).
  • Bay City – Women’s Pregnancy Center of Matagorda County https://baycitywpc.org
    • Women’s Pregnancy Center of Matagorda County needs supplies, especially diapers size 4 & up and pull-ups in various sizes to deliver to evacuees at the Van Vleck Community Center.
  • Corpus Christi – Refuge of Hope http://refugeofhopecc.org/
    • Refuge of Hope is donating supplies to mothers who are flood victims.  Donate or refer a woman in need to (361) 241 – 5300.
  • Houston – Houston Coalition for Life http://houstoncoalition.com/
    • Houston Coalition for Life is offering free pregnancy services and supplies to mothers affected by Harvey.  Make a donation at http://houstoncoalition.com/.
  • Houston – Houston Pregnancy Help Center https://www.houstonpregnancyhelpcenter.org/
    • Houston Pregnancy Help Center is driving mobile medical unit to shelters to deliver diapers, baby blankets, etc. To donate, text “HPHC” to 77977 or visit FifthWard.org. To volunteer, contact sylvia@houstonpregnancy.org.
  • Jasper – East Texas Pregnancy Help Center http://www.etphc.org/
    • East Texas Pregnancy Help Center is collecting all size diapers, wipes, formula, water/drinks, snack and non-perishable food, bath and body products, and toothpaste and toothbrushes

These pregnancy centers reside in the devastated counties affected by Hurricane Harvey.  Although some of these centers did not sustain damage, please consider donating to or volunteering with one of these organizations to serve the affected communities.
