In a refreshing moment of factual integrity among the mainstream media, PolitiFact has verified a statement by Attorney General Ken Paxton’s Press Secretary, Cynthia Meyer, as “True.” “True” is the highest of six possible ratings which can be assigned by PolitiFact’s Truth-O-Meter. Meyers tweeted that more black babies are aborted than born in New York City. The tweet was a response to a bizarrely ironic statement by anti-Life presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in October, and repeated in November:
Would help if they had the chance to be born. #demdebate #txlege https://t.co/hlKtUUCacp

Meyers, in commenting on the black abortion rate in NYC, was relaying easily-verifiable facts. The numbers, in fact, come from the city. NYC’s Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s Bureau of Vital Statistics’ most recent report, from 2013, reveals that black women undergo nearly 42%of the city’s roughly 70,000 total annual abortions. Indeed, nearly 5,000 more abortions than live births occurred among black women in the city.
Biracial Pro-Life activist Ryan Bomberger has outspokenly denounced the lopsidedness of the abortion rate in New York City, saying: “These alarming statistics certainly reinforce that the womb was a dangerous place, disproportionately, for these black lives.” Pro-Lifers – including Bomberger – have denounced the abortion industry’s feigned support of the #BlackLivesMatter campaigns, noting that black lives are being targeted rather than protected by groups like Planned Parenthood. Pro-Life advocates, conversely, abide by a consistent ethic of respect for all human Life.
