Nike’s Latest Ad Celebrates Fatherhood and Children

Has Nike gone non-woke? Their most recent ad featuring golf champion, Scottie Scheffler, featured his greatest win–his son.

After winning the 153rd Open Championship at Royal Portrush, Scheffler didn’t soak in the glory alone. He brought his son, Bennett, up with him—publicly honoring his role as a father over his fame as a golfer. In a world that’s all about chasing success and putting yourself first, this was such a refreshing moment.

Nike took hold of this powerful moment and celebrated his victory with an ad, saying:

“Priorities unchanged. Another major secured. The wins keep coming on and off the course for Scottie Scheffler,” the caption read. Then it featured two images, one of Scheffler and his son with the text “You’ve already won” above it. The picture of him swinging a club said, “But another major never hurt.”

Before the Open Championship, Scheffler was asked in a press conference how much golf truly fulfills him.

“I love being able to play this game for a living. It’s one of the greatest joys of my life. But does it fill the deepest, you know, wants and desires of my heart? Absolutely not,” he replied.

Scottie’s next words speak volumes:

“I’m blessed to come out here and play golf. But if golf ever started affecting my home life, or if it ever affected the relationship I have with my wife or with my son, you know, that’s going to be the last day I play out here for a living,” he admitted. “This is not the most important thing in my life.”

“I would much rather be a great father than I would be a great golfer. You know that at the end of the day, that. That’s what’s more important to me,” Sheffler highlighted.

This is the kind of message our culture needs. Male Pro-Life voices are vital. Fatherhood is a calling. Children are not a burden—they are a blessing.

Being a parent might not win you trophies or headlines. But it can shape your soul, deepen your character, and bring a joy that no paycheck or podium ever could. Scottie Scheffler knows that. And he’s showing the next generation that real success isn’t just about what you accomplish—but who you raise along the way.
