New Polls Reveal that America is Becoming More Pro-Life

Something incredible is happening in America: public opinion on abortion is changing. Recent polls show growing Pro-Life momentum, and the results might surprise you.

Gallup released its annual survey on abortion in June, revealing that 43% of respondents now identify as Pro-Life, a two-point increase from the previous year. The survey also showed an increase in the number of people who consider abortion “morally wrong” and those who believe it should be “illegal” or “legal only under certain circumstances.”

A separate poll also reflected a rise in Pro-Life sentiment in July. Surveying 1,400 adults, the poll found a seven-point increase from 2024 in the share of Americans who believe abortion should be “illegal in all” or “most” cases.

The survey also explored public opinion on whether states should permit legal abortion under specific circumstances. Support for legal abortion declined across all scenarios. Notably, support for abortion “if the woman does not want to be pregnant for any reason” dropped by 5 percentage points

For Pro-Lifers, this is both encouraging news and a reminder of the work that remains. While incremental progress is evident, the reality is that the majority of Americans are still anti-Life. The Pro-Life mission extends beyond ending abortion; it’s about fostering a culture of Life in America and in the world—a world where preborn children are protected, and every woman has the resources and support she needs to choose Life.

Many forget that abortion is also a cultural issue. For decades, the anti-Life side has framed abortion as a right, a necessity, and even a form of healthcare. Reversing this narrative requires changing hearts and minds. This sort of shift only occurs through education, compassion, prayer, and more.

The new data offers a new spark for the Pro-Life movement. As the culture re-shapes, slowly but surely, so does the opportunity to make real, lasting change, even beyond the legal realm.

America is becoming more Pro-Life, but the mission is far from over. Let’s pray for women, men, and preborn children affected by abortion. Together, we must stand for Life and work toward building a nation where every person is valued and protected.
