The Center for Medical Progress has released a second video chronicling StemExpress whistleblower Holly O’Donnell’s harrowing experience working as a tissue procurement technician inside several California Planned Parenthood abortion mills. The video is the sixth installment in a video series uncovering the illegal baby body parts trafficking practices that take place within Planned Parenthood abortion mills across the nation every single day. O’Donnell details the dark environment within Planned Parenthood abortion mills, where the wellbeing of abortion patients takes last priority after all considerations of profit are explored and exploited.
O’Donnell worked in a Fresno Planned Parenthood where over forty abortions take place in one eight-hour work day: “There’s so many. So many… It really wore me down. The environment, it’s morbid. You could feel it. You could hear screaming. You could hear crying.” O’Donnell said that as soon as a woman entering Planned Parenthood took a pregnancy test, tissue procurement technicians have the green-light to begin “consenting” the patient to donate her dead child – before she had even decided whether or not to abort. “So pregnancy tests are potential pregnancies, therefore potential specimens. So it’s just taking advantage of the opportunities.”
Although O’Donnell was the only licensed phlebotomy technician, her co-workers “were drawing blood in the clinics,” without regard for policy or the health of women. Worse, O’Donnell shared: “The coworkers I had, they would not consent the donors. If there was a higher gestation and the technicians needed it, there were times when they would just take what they wanted. And these mothers don’t know. And there’s no way they would know.”
The self-interest among tissue procurement agency StemExpress is “terrifying,” O’Donnell continued. “Like, imagine if you were an abortion patient and someone was going in and just stealing your baby’s parts.” O’Donnell faced scrutiny for being unwilling to coerce pregnant mothers into undergoing abortions when they were not fully decided. In fact, when she knew a woman was second-guessing her decision, O’Donnell would tell that woman to “run.”
This is in part because O’Donnell identifies as Pro-Life, and also because she knew that any emotional trauma experienced by the women would be magnified and exacerbated by interaction with the callous staff at the Fresno abortion mill. “I’m not going to tell a girl to kill her baby so I can get money. And that’s what this company does. Straight up: that’s what this company does.” The resident abortionist committed abortions “viciously fast,” she said, and the profiteering within Planned Parenthood was palpable: “The women I worked for were cold. They were just cold. They don’t care, they just wanted their money.”
As Texas Right to Life has reported, O’Donnell’s former employer, StemExpress, is terrified of footage obtained by the Center for Medical Progress blowing the lid off of their lucrative but illegal activities. In addition to O’Donnell’s testimony, CMP also possesses footage of a dinner meeting with StemExpress employees blatantly admitting to disturbing illegal activity. CMP director David Daleiden told CNN: “StemExpress is trying to suppress a specific recording of a meeting with their top leadership where their leadership admitted that they sometimes get fully intact fetuses shipped to their laboratory from the abortion clinics that they work with, and that could be prima facie evidence of born-alive infants.”
The Center for Medical Progress is currently bound by a California judge’s temporary restraining order sought by StemExpress when the company realized their conversation would likely be publicized. The Center for Medical Progress said that StemExpress, “is attempting to use meritless litigation to cover-up this illegal baby parts trade, suppress free speech, and silence the citizen press reporting on issues of burning concern to the American public.” When the restraining order is lifted and the CMP’s First Amendment rights are restored, the horrifying practices of StemExpress will be fully exposed.
Speaking of specimens shipped to StemExpress’ laboratory, O’Donnell recalled her daily trips to FedEx to ship boxes of “specimens” collected at Planned Parenthood. People would ask her what was in the box, “and I didn’t know what to say… there’s dead baby parts in there.” Spread the word. Share the video. #PlannedPROFIThood #WhatsInTheBox
