Cathryn Baird, the new Texas Right to Life Ambassador for Comal County in central Texas, is organizing a diaper drive for Options for Life Pregnancy Center in New Braunfels!

Cathryn has been active in the Pro-Life movement since her high school years. From praying in front of abortion clinics, to marching for Life in Washington D.C., her Pro-Life convictions have taken her all over the country.
As a young adult, Cathryn faced an unplanned pregnancy. She found out she was pregnant with her son during her second year at St. Mary’s School of Law. Realizing early in the semester that she would not be able to continue with her studies during her pregnancy, she withdrew.
Cathryn thought she was giving up her hopes and dreams of advocating for Pro-Life issues. But becoming an Ambassador for Texas Right to Life has given her a wonderful opportunity to lead in the Pro-Life movement again, even without having a law degree.
As a new Ambassador, Cathryn has already connected with Pro-Life leaders in her community and witnessed the love and support the people of Comal County have given to women facing unplanned pregnancies.
The local pregnancy center, Options for Life, is thriving thanks to the support of the people in New Braunfels and the surrounding area. Even through the pandemic, Options for Life has continued to receive donations for their Life-saving programs.
Nevertheless, the need for these vital supplies is not slowing down. Options for Life wants to continue to provide necessary items like diapers and wipes to the mothers who need them, but to do so they need your help. They are asking for donations of any size. Options for Life needs the continued support of the community in order to minister to the women in crisis situations.
The best way to build a Culture of Life is by working to overcome the reasons women seek abortion. Many women turn to abortion when they are scared and believe they will not have the resources necessary to provide for their preborn child.
The Pro-Life community must find ways to prevent economic hardship from becoming the reason a child dies from abortion.
One simple way of prevention is to provide basic necessities for babies from newborns to toddlers. As Pro-Lifers we care deeply for Life, before and after birth. No child should be denied Life or have to suffer because of the circumstances of their birth. The kindness and generosity of many good people is needed to make sure that doesn’t happen.
So today, we are asking anyone who is ready to build a Culture of Life, overcome economic hardship, and save precious lives to participate in the diaper drive.
