Over the weekend Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) visited Texas to stump for abortion proponents Greg Casar and Jessica Cisneros, both of whom are running for Congress.
Cisneros has disparaged the Texas Heartbeat Act, which saves 100 babies per day, as “oppressive.” In addition to Cortez, Cisneros has also been endorsed by Planned Parenthood Action Fund and NARAL.
Casar is a far-left former Austin city councilman, endorsed by AOC, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Wendy Davis.
Casar is a true socialist and abortion extremist. As an Austin city councilmember he pushed countless pro-abortion measures, including a move to defund the police and support abortion with taxpayer dollars instead. Pro-Life activists, including Texas Right to Life Legislative Director Dr. John Seago, quickly sued the city.
A rabid anti-Lifer, Casar prides himself for leading the movement to keep Planned Parenthood of East Austin open and subsidizing abortion businesses with Austin city tax dollars.
If elected to Congress, both Casar and Cisneros promised to force taxpayers to fund abortion and pledged to ban states from passing Pro-Life laws. Casar also attacked the Texas Heartbeat Act, the strongest Pro-Life policy since Roe v. Wade, as “discriminatory.”
Campaigning for Casar in San Antonio and Austin over the weekend, AOC stated that, “We should be fighting for reproductive justice, which is what Greg Casar does.”
For her part, Cortez has stood vehemently opposed to any laws that protect preborn children, calling Pro-Life laws a “brutal form of oppression.” According to a tweet from AOC, Pro-Life laws are the result of “US religious fundamentalists (who) are working hard to outlaw sex that falls outside their theology.”
AOC has gained national notoriety and widespread media praise for her radical support of abortion and extreme socialist policies.
Cortez’s “progressive” ideas, along with those of Casar and Cisneros, stand in stark contrast with the Pro-Life conservative values of Texas.
All Texans must vote for leaders who will boldly defend Life.
