A Florida college student who texted a friend that killing children was her “favorite” form of birth control has been arrested and charged with aggravated manslaughter after the death of her newborn baby girl.
Brianna Moore exchanged texts with a young man from Mississippi, casually discussing birth control and abortion in September 2023. When he asked if abortion was legal in Florida, she replied, “no but there is a pill you can order in any state,” and then shared links she had saved about how to get it.
Moore allegedly wrote in the exchange, “hey man sometimes you need a plan c.”
“Plan a was condoms. plan b was the pill. plan c was to kill (the) kid,” he reportedly responded.
Moore allegedly replied, “plan c is my favorite.”
According to authorities, they were having a conversation about Florida’s laws, which ban abortions after 6 weeks of pregnancy. This demonstrates how far the anti-Life movement has gone to dehumanize preborn babies, defy the law, and celebrate the true definition of abortion: baby murder.
Just like Florida, Texas women can also order these deadly pills straight to their dorm rooms or homes because of underground abortion pill websites. Between 19,000 and 30,000 pills were trafficked into the state last year alone.

But we have a chance to stop this. Governor Greg Abbott has called Texas lawmakers back to the Capitol for a special session—and one of the key issues on the agenda is protecting preborn babies!
This is our second chance to tackle the abortion pill crisis. Lawmakers only have 30 days to act, so the Senate and House must move quickly to pass the Woman and Child Protection Act, starting today—July 21.
A few months after this conversation, in April of 2024, Brianna Moore gave birth to a baby girl. She told investigators she woke up one Saturday morning in extreme pain and found her pants to be wet, and realised she might be going into labor since she hadn’t had her menstrual cycle recently.
Moore went to her shared bathroom and stayed there for about 90 minutes, lying on the floor in pain until she eventually gave birth. When her daughter was born, she was crying and visibly alive. But after Brianna held her against her chest to “soothe her,” the baby stopped crying and breathing.
An autopsy later showed her little girl had several broken ribs along her spine and small hemorrhages in her lungs. The cause of death was listed as “asphyxia due to compression of the torso with rib fractures,” and the manner of death was ruled a homicide.
Moore wrapped her baby in a towel, left her on the floor near an ottoman, and took a nap. Hours later, her roommates noticed blood in the bathroom and eventually found the baby’s body hidden in a trash bag. When campus security arrived, Moore initially denied everything—claiming she was just on her period.
Brianna was asked, if she could do things differently, what would she do?
“When I started feeling bad, probably go to the hospital,” she said. However, she added that she couldn’t afford to make the trip. Moore also mentioned that she had thought about handing over the baby at the hospital.
“Because you can do that, can’t you?” she said.
“You can,” the detective said.
Many states—including Texas—have safe surrender laws to protect newborns. Under Texas’ “Baby Moses” law, parents can safely hand over their baby (under 60 days old) at any hospital, fire station, or police station that’s open 24/7—with no punishment.
There are compassionate, life-affirming options for parents who feel they can’t raise their child. Every baby deserves the chance to live, to be loved, and to grow. Abortion pills—killing the baby—should never be the answer.

Take Action! Contact State Officials:
Dear Lieutenant Governor Patrick and Speaker Burrows,
I’m writing to urge you to pass the Woman and Child Protection Act in the July special session. We must address the growing danger of abortion pills in Texas. Over 19,000 orders of these drugs are mailed into our state each year—often from unregulated websites—putting women at serious risk and ending the lives of innocent preborn children.
The BEST bill to save these lives is Senate Bill 2880 (89R), the Woman and Child Protection Act. This policy was passed by the Senate and voted out of a House committee to stop traffickers and distributors of these deadly drugs. It also protects mothers from prosecution. The Woman and Child Protection Act allows families to seek justice if a mom is harmed or killed by these lethal drugs.
Please take swift action and pass the Woman and Child Protection Act in the special session. Texas must continue to lead in saving lives.
Thank you for your leadership.
