Have you ever desired to make a difference in the Pro-Life movement but wondered if your efforts would matter?
Elvin Fant, Sr. is a great example of someone who took a small step of faith that has helped more than 70,000 people.
How did he accomplish this? Pro-Life hot dogs.
When Fant felt the Lord calling him to take action for the Pro-Life cause, he aimed to approach it in an unconventional way.
In an interview with Live Action, Fant explained, “You’re not going to have a lot of success if you walk up to someone on the street and say, ‘Let’s talk about Pro-Life, what do you think about Pro-Life?’ You’ve got to come in the second door.”
He decided to make an impact on those around him by setting up a Pro-Life hot dog stand. His sign reads, “Free Pro-Life Hot Dogs. Savor the Flavor, Save a Life.”

“There’s an old saying that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach,” Fant explains. For the past year, his hot dogs have been the key to opening people’s hearts to protect unborn babies.
As he makes the customer’s hot dogs, a TV mounted to his stand plays videos educating people on the realities of abortion. “I play them on there while they’re waiting for their hot dog, and I’ve got their ear, and I’m going to talk to them about it,” he said.
Since all of Fant’s hot dogs are free, any tips or donations he receives, he donates to a Pro-Life nonprofit.
“It doesn’t matter if I go out for the day and all I get is $10. That $10, it gives me a lot of satisfaction,” he said.
“I feel like I’m making a difference from me taking up space in this world. I know that I’m saving babies. I know that I’m saving the peace of mind of the young women. No doubt in my mind.”
He is a wonderful testament that every action or conversation, big or small, can be used by God in mighty ways. Whether it’s running a hot dog stand, having conversations, or sharing educational content, every small action contributes to a larger cause. Just like Fant, you are one step away from making a profound difference in the lives of the unborn!
