He attended college and medical school in Southern California and received specialty training in family medicine at Martin Luther King/Charles R. Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles. While there, he met Dr. Noreen Johnson, who was completing her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Johnson was one of his many instructors that taught him the abortion procedure. Shortly thereafter, the couple became romantically involved and they began moonlighting together as abortionists in Southern California. After completion of their respective residency programs, the couple married and moved to Texas to begin a thirty-eight-year journey in their joint private practice until Dr. Robinson retired in 2019. Dr. Johnson passed away in August 2021.

Since his salvation in 1986, pro-life work has been not only a passion, but a calling for Dr. Robinson. He now serves as the Director of Medical Affairs and Education for 40 Days for Life. As a former abortionist, he understands the realities of abortion and demonstrates heroic compassion for both mother and child. His encouraging and principled approach points the way to a culture of life. The Scalpel and the Soul: Our Radical Transformation as Husband and Wife Abortion Doctors, the book coauthored by Drs. Robinson and Johnson, was released in June 2023.

Dr. Robinson has found his true love and life partner. He and his now wife, the formerly Daphne Harris Nicely, serve together in family, life, pregnancy care, and reconciliation ministries and missions across the globe. Collectively, Dr. and Mrs. Robinson have four living children, thirteen children that have preceded them in death, five bonus children, their seventh grandchild is due in June 2025, and they have one great grandchild.[/et_pb_blurb][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=”2_5,3_5″ disabled_on=”on|on|on” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” custom_margin=”||50px||false|false” disabled=”on” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”2_5″ _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_image src=”https://texasrighttolife.com/ConventionForLife/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Kent-Matthews-BG.jpg” title_text=”Kent-Matthews—BG” align=”center” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” max_height=”342px” border_radii=”on|270px|270px|270px|270px” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_image][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”3_5″ _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_blurb title=”Kent Matthews” content_max_width=”1100px” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” header_font=”Krona One||||||||” header_text_color=”#E02B20″ header_font_size=”39px” background_color=”#FFFFFF” custom_padding=”10px|10px|10px|10px|true|true” border_radii=”off||90px||” global_colors_info=”{}”]

Convention EMCEE

Radio personality Kent Matthews is no stranger to the airwaves and has been with NGEN since day one!
